Zune/OLauncher/Niagara Launcher UI in KLWP

  • Summary - I really loved the Zune (and Zune HD) UI to the point where I still believe Microsoft really should have made their Android launcher the Zune UI. Then, as screen sizes started getting bigger, utilize the top part of the screen as notification center and a section for Android widgets. To that end, I made this UI in KLWP because I like OLauncher and Niagara Launcher but prefer using as much of the screen as possible while keeping all elements fixed in place
  • Features of the UI
    • Tapping the current date and weather refreshes the weather conditions
    • Weather forecast launches Today Weather
    • When media isn't playing, the current image shows and accents pull from the stored image
    • When media is playing, the current track info shows and accent colors are extracted from the cover image
    • Pop-Up Widgets
      • Bookmarks - Chrome bookmarks pop-up for sites I frequently visit
      • Calendar - Shows upcoming events in Google Calendar
      • Gmail - Shows current emails in the inbox
